Parsely games are based on the old text adventure parsers from the late 1970s and early 1980s. In Parsely games, a person replaces the computer, and a map and outline of the adventure replaces the software.

Parsely is a puzzle game at its heart, but it's also entertainment.

One person (most likely you) acts as the Parser. The title Parser comes from the name for programs running text adventures. As the Parser, it's your job to relay the game information to the players, pretty much as the computer would. You'll describe what the player sees, the results of the player's actions and anything else appearing in the game. You'll also keep track of the player's location, inventory and score.

Refer to yourself as 'I' when talking to a player. Everyone else in the game is The Player, a single role shared amongst all of the participants besides yourself. Refer to The Player as 'You' during the game.

Parsely games are small, portable and fun for (almost) all occasions.

Presented as a z-fold pamphlet printed on 11' x 17' high quality, glossy color stock.
? Play them anywhere! On trips, in long lines, camping, at game cons?
? Play them with anyone! Young or old, expert or total noob
? Play with a few friends or 100 random strangers at the same time

You need at least two players to play a Parsely Game. There is no maximum number of players, making Parsely an ideal activity for parties, conventions and other large gatherings of geeky fold who are into this kinda thing.

Even if you didn?t grow up during the '70s and '80s, you can still enjoy playing Parsely with friends and family. Just grab one of the available Parsely games, learn how it works and gather a small (or large!) group together for some fun times.
