Condition: Leather and blue linen binding, detached front and rear, spine missing, top edge gilded. Original front and rear wraps bound in.

All prelims present. Appears that the first signature was re-sewn in at time of re-binding. Original front cover is slightly bumped along top, fore and bottom edges. The hinge edge has some noticeable loss and a tear. Wraps are clean. Bottom edge is shelf worn.?

Interior of volume is clean and tight. A previous owner-in a good hand-has put the chapter numbers (Roman) and chapter titles at each chapter opening in red ink, also a few corrections of text. Well worth re-binding.
